So, while everyone is rejoicing with their stimulus payment, my refund will go to pay for the tax that I owe the IRS for the past few years.

I have been having to claim more exemptions so I can be paid more each paycheck to cover all of my bills. Then at the end of the year I have had to owe taxes and set up installment agreements.

At least my IRS balance will be paid down with the stimulus payment and I will avoid more interest on the amount I already owe.
