Milica Barjaktarovic: Hands-on relief
Milica Barjaktarovic: Hands-on relief
Milica Barjaktarovic is banking on her tax rebate to grow her fledgling massage business.
Massage therapist, 43, Haleiwa, Hawaii

I opened my own "human remodeling" therapeutic massage business last year. After many years of sitting on the fence about it, finally it is happening, and I love it!

The rebate check will go to furthering my business. Last year I used savings and income from other jobs to print all the business cards, signs, new supplies, some ads and all that. This year, the check will probably be paying for an additional ad, or taking an extra class.

Times are rough and I am looking for another job to supplement my income. There are no jobs - that's the problem - and/or they pay very very lousy. This year, as I depend more and more on my own business and less and less on working for others, economic incentives will be more and more important.
