These hand-dipped, Belgium-chocolate-coated fruits are from Los Angeles-based Chocolate Covered Company. Founder Salpi Demirjian, a former restaurant supply store employee, started dipping strawberries to give as gifts to family and friends. She realized in 2002 that she and her husband could build a business delivering these sweets around the country to individual customers, retailers, gourmet food shops and special events. Last year, the company provided dipped fruit for an Emmys pre-party.
